Peter James to retire from Board of Governors

Peter James, one of our long standing Governors, is to retire from the Board after many years as part of our school community. Peter has been actively involved with St George’s since 1997; his three daughters were pupils at the school and Peter also served on the Parents Association for seven years as Deputy Chairman. Peter has been a Governor since 2004 and was Chairman of the Finance and Marketing Committee for eight years. His departure will be marked by dinner with the Board to thank him for all that he has done to support St George's, particularly in the areas of Bursary Support, Finance and of course wider Governance. Most recently at the Centenary Ball he won a wing walking experience for his wife, Morag, so their pace of life does not show signs of slowing down!
