Georgian Alumnae Association

Welcome to the Alumnae area of the St George’s website where you can catch up with the latest news and forthcoming events.

The Georgian Alumnae Association (known as GALA) was set up in its present form in 2008. Its aim is to encourage former Georgians (pupils and staff) to keep in touch with each other and with the school. We regularly hold reunions at school and, from time to time, we hold an evening drinks party in London. The most recent one was on Friday 21st April 2017. In 2018 the reunion lunch will take place on Saturday 28th April. All former Georgians are most welcome, but we should particularly like to encourage alumnae who will be celebrating an 'anniversary' of their leaving year - whether the 10th anniversary or the 60th! Further details will be in the letter to go out shortly, or you can email Sue van der Veen to find out more.

Alumnae receive a mailing in August each year, giving details of future reunions. If you don't receive mailings from us, this means we don’t have your postal address.  Please email the Alumnae Relations Officer, Sue van der Veen, at this address:

If you’ve lost touch with a school friend, then do email us to find out whether we have contact details for her by clicking here.  We will gladly forward an email or a letter and indeed have done this for many people already.

One way that alumnae can help current pupils - or those who have left recently - is to give advice on careers or to speak of their own experiences at work. If you would be willing to do this, please let Sue know. If you are very busy, then we don't ask for a lot of your time - for example, girls may find it very useful just to be able to speak on the phone to someone with knowledge of a certain career, or to contact them on LinkedIn. On the other hand, some alumnae are also able to offer work placements or to come to speak at Careers events at school. Whichever category you fall into, your help would be greatly appreciated.
