Every girl at St George’s is provided with a mentoring experience that is designed to develop interests and strengths. As a senior girl within the School community we feel pupils are ready to take the next step and encounter mentoring that emulates a university experience. We encourage our pupils to help in choosing their own tutor, someone who they feel will best motivate them to achieve, support, and bring out the best in them.
There are seven Sixth Form tutors, who meet with their tutees on an individual basis at least every fortnight, to look at academic progress and well-being. The tutor will help to further develop academic attainment and enrichment as well as advise, help and develop interests, inspiring girls to embrace the ethos of wider learning at St George’s. Each pupil’s progress is overseen by the Head of Sixth Form who can be contacted at any time
